BEETHOVEN'S ANNIVERSARY
Stringendo Chamber Orchestra - Conductor : Jean-Philippe VANBESELAERE
The last great representative of Viennese classicism (after Glück, Haydn and Mozart), Beethoven prepared the evolution towards Romanticism in music and influenced Western music for much of the 19th century. Unclassifiable, his art has been expressed through different musical genres and, although his symphonic music is the main source of his popularity, he has had an equally considerable impact in piano writing and for chamber music.
